Since 1995, company founders Ruth Tamaroff and her husband Michael O’Hara have been working with the sterling silver jewelry makers and designers of Mexico, India and Nepal, collecting and distributing the most interesting jewelry they come across. Their work involves sifting through thousands of silver necklaces, bracelets and earrings to bring you only those pieces with exceptional design, high quality workmanship and reasonable prices.

From Mexico they bring the verve and enthusiasm the young designers express in their work, bringing to mind the adventurous architecture of Mexico City and the elegance of the city. The modern aspect of the Tamohara Mexican line is contrasted with the more traditional work of the silversmiths from India and Nepal, who honor the designs handed down from their ancestors by adapting them for contemporary use. The combination of these trends results in a cosmopolitan mix of tradition and pizzazz.
