ABOUT Tamohara
Ruth Tamaroff remembers her very first piece of sterling silver jewelry. As a young girl, her parents visited Taxco, Mexico and brought back a gift of a silver bracelet for her. She has been wearing silver ever since.
Ms.Tamaroff has been engaged in careers as varied as community organization and social work and business development in Central America, Asia and the US, computer training, and the creative arts (with her works in private collections in the US, Europe and Asia).
And now, the many strands of Ms.Tamaroff’s professional and personal life have become woven together to form the fabric of her current endeavor, importing fine sterling silver jewelry from Mexico and Asia.
Wanting to share their deep appreciation for the creative work of the artists and craftspeople Ms.Tamaroff and her husband Michael O’Hara were privileged to work with in India, Nepal, Bali and Mexico, they established TAMOHARA COLLECTION in 1995.
Through frequent travels to the aforementioned countries, Ms.Tamaroff selects the sterling silver jewelry and offers it to North American shops.
